These absolutely fabulous cups are a product of Livia Marin. Little could be found on the artist, however this china is an absolutely fantastic piece of art! Maybe not very useful for a tea party, but surely the highlight of home decoration.

Pretty drawings of some bugs? Is this your first thought? They certainly are pretty, but looking closer, one might notice that in reality these insects are deformed, which was the result of the radiation.

Cornelia Hesse-Honegger, scientific illustrator from Switzerland, makes illustrations of morphologically disturbed insects, which she finds near the nuclear areas of the infamous places like Chernobyl, nuclear power plants in Switzerland, radiation-contaminated areas in Europe and the US.

Cornelia sketches how perfect symmetrical lines of bug surface are slightly changed, deformed by dangerous exposure.

Beautiful but scary.

Francesco Carrozini is one of the youngest working directors, who participated in Venice Biennale art expo 2005, film series “The New York Times screen tests” and sets for Vanity Fair and such. He is quite a talent, obviously.

The Art of Lego

Jan Vormann is an artist from Berlin, who came up with an incredible idea of putting Lego bricks to repair ancient walls.
The artist has done installations in Italy, Israel and Berlin. Vormann calls his art Dispatchwork.

Cow Parade in Madrid

Cows are parading in stake of financial crisis – the “Cow Parade” has opened in Madrid and will take place till 21 March. The cows will be exhibited everywhere around the city, and after the expo will be over, the cows will be auctioned and the money given to the charity. How clever and very colorful!
