“I am not a plastic bag” is a bag by Anya Hindmarch, who is known for her humorous leather handbags, small leather goods, luggage, shoes and clothes.

In 2001, Anya launched the charity promotion Be a Bag, which allows customers to have their own photographs printed onto a bag. Be A Bag continues to be a huge success and has now raised money for more than twenty charities around the world.

In 2007 Anya launched “I am not a plastic bag”, which is meant for groceries shopping and other casualities, and since celebrities started wearing it, the bag gained a great success and is not even available now worldwide.

Celebrities spotted with the bag include Petra Nemocova, Natalie Imbruglia, Lily Allen, Keira Knightley, Reese Witherspoon and others.

Another designer who is against plastic and produces not ordinary bags is Doreen Westphal of Krejci who is exhibiting her collection of bags made of used bicycle inner tubes and felt.

Another resource that Krejci uses is an atypical design material: the used airbed.
