OK… so it’s interesting and innovative but… does it mean that now Jonathan Rhys-Meyers is going to be featured in the new Victoria’s Secret ad campaign wearing tights and panties?? UH- don’t think so.
I think it’s kinda an obvious idea- straight men (I’m bi, leaning more on gay, so i DO like to look at men!) don’t enjoy looking at other men naked. Granted. But this means that the industry is kind off subversivly erradicating men from publicity so all we are left with are naked women everywhere. A real sexist act. Women’s underwear ad- naked woman. And now: men’s underwear ad- naked women.
Plus it is taking woman down that sex toy road again and dowgrading them. Don’t wanna sound so radical and exagerated but it’s true.
Good idea, but needs better add campaign. One that dignifies woman and not just gives men a free whacking-off session.

lemme tell you something.

To begin: I’m a man, 34y, and I think the proportion of totally, freaked-out, over-emancipated, and out of controlled woman in the media is taking desastrous forms. Of course, this is due to the feminist movement, that overestimates the woman and underestimates the man. By the way, to be clear, I’m a 100% for emancipation , but please let woman stay woman.
Danish marketing is always provoking to get into the actuality, I know.
BUT there is a difference between making something subtile and funny, than something slobby and dirty like this video, which puts the woman is exact the same position as the man, BUT 30 years ago! Grow up! We were in the age of the metro-man or whatever the fuck we should be, no?

Stereotypes from this kind of wo-man images are ridicilous. The definition of the man has longtime changed, and the real man won’t come back that soon. So, I’m sorry, I don’t like this publicity spot nor the image. I know, it’s all about provoking and making things ridicilous, so tell me where is the limit?
Look a bit more to Quentin Tarantino movies, and you’ll get my point, if you let your braincells work.

as interesting as these ads might the first one is offensive to me as a women. It looks as though she were just a sex toy, discarded. I understand that the rest of them are women poorly dressed in male situations, but the first one just looks as though she were date raped…

I also question how successful these ads were in selling men’s underwear or were they just used as free soft core porn?

It’s a massively successful campaign. But it is worth noting that the ban was in Norway, not in Denmark. Norway is traditionally more conservative and they have a habit of banning things – which doesn’t really fit the liberalminded Scandinavian spirit.
