Men don’t want to look at naked men

Danish men’s underwear company JBS has always been original in producing its ad campaigns. Previously it had come with a genius ad decision – showing women in men’s underwear, because, naturally, men don’t like to look at other naked men, while women are far more attractive for the eyes.

But this year’s JBS new ad campaign was banned by local consumer association Forbrukerombudet. They think that such ads discriminate women.

why are the women smelling them? I don’t know any woman who smell men’s panties.

    But…

    brilliant ad ideas!

  2. Pure marketing!
That is a demonstration of how companies are starting to actually think about customers’ needs.
“Men don’t want to look at naked men”!

Jackie, well, my opinion is that this is a really strong marketing move. Had I been a man, I would also very much appreciate looking at naked women, wearing men’s underwear, however absurd this may seem.
and so on, being a woman, i’d have a laugh and appreciation of naked men bodies on large billboards.

  4. Men (and some women) don’t want to look at naked men. Ok. But women (and some men) want. For naked women, there are women’s underwear ads. Everyone has right to nice sights…

now only if we could get some guys in girls underwear.

  7. I showed the pictures to my husband. He had to look 3 times at the first picture, and have me explain what they were trying to sell, before he saw the underwear.

I wonder how successful this ad campaign will be in actually selling men’s underwear.

  8. Talk about an attention getter! Wow!!

The Ads are very well photographed, and a bit risquée, bravo for the campaign! But to comment on the header:… excuse me, but millions of men do want to look at naked men! It’s also very natural that they do, for mother nature is trying her best to keep the worldpopulation down! Like your site a lot! Take care, Alexander

  10. It’s a massively successful campaign. But it is worth noting that the ban was in Norway, not in Denmark. Norway is traditionally more conservative and they have a habit of banning things – which doesn’t really fit the liberalminded Scandinavian spirit.

  11. damn those fukin gals r hella hot i wanna suck them lol

  12. hello to all of you people out there on this site

  13. as interesting as these ads might the first one is offensive to me as a women. It looks as though she were just a sex toy, discarded. I understand that the rest of them are women poorly dressed in male situations, but the first one just looks as though she were date raped…

I also question how successful these ads were in selling men’s underwear or were they just used as free soft core porn?

    lemme tell you something.

To begin: I’m a man, 34y, and I think the proportion of totally, freaked-out, over-emancipated, and out of controlled woman in the media is taking desastrous forms. Of course, this is due to the feminist movement, that overestimates the woman and underestimates the man. By the way, to be clear, I’m a 100% for emancipation , but please let woman stay woman.
Danish marketing is always provoking to get into the actuality, I know.
BUT there is a difference between making something subtile and funny, than something slobby and dirty like this video, which puts the woman is exact the same position as the man, BUT 30 years ago! Grow up! We were in the age of the metro-man or whatever the fuck we should be, no?

Stereotypes from this kind of wo-man images are ridicilous. The definition of the man has longtime changed, and the real man won’t come back that soon. So, I’m sorry, I don’t like this publicity spot nor the image. I know, it’s all about provoking and making things ridicilous, so tell me where is the limit?
Look a bit more to Quentin Tarantino movies, and you’ll get my point, if you let your braincells work.

    A real man with balls,

    best all
